Wilderness Area

  • Our 573-acre Los Caminitos Wilderness Area encompasses miles of trails and connects with more than a million acres within the Española and Las Vegas-Pecos Ranger Districts of the National Forest.
  • Horses are allowed on the largest lots (74A, B, C & D and 75) located in Phase III of the development.
  • Los Caminitos residents have marked and mapped local trails for the enjoyment of the community.

The Homeowners Association levies an assessment each year (as of September 2025 $3,800 per lot) to support the various programs, activities and facilities within Los Caminitos. The annual budget, which is approved by the membership at our Annual Meetings, is allocated to road maintenance and repair, ongoing upkeep of the entrance and the centrally-located clubhouse with swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts and a capital fund for future upkeep and replacement of community owned assets.
