Residents enjoy the most privacy and direct access to nature of any substantial community close to Santa Fe.
The subdivision is adjacent to a huge expanse of protected mountain terrain.
A 573-acre wilderness area offers miles of hiking, biking and riding trails.
Horses are permitted on the largest lots (presently 22+ acres) located in Phase III of the development.
Los Caminitos was created in the late 1970s with the vision of maintaining the rural character of the land. The founders set limits on density, building heights, and visual elements in order to maintain harmony with the neighboring National Forest.
A group of Los Caminitos residents have marked and mapped the local trails, and often sponsor weekly hikes throughout Santa Fe County.
Some of these same outdoors enthusiasts lead the “Fair Weather Ski Club” to area resorts during winter months.
Los Caminitos holds 2-3 annual gatherings at the clubhouse, which features a swimming pool and tennis courts.
Los Caminitos owners experience exceptional serenity and privacy, integrated into nature that is protected from future development. We care about preserving our beautiful night skies and living in harmony with the animals that share our forest.
